Ma femme d’affiche

I love her.

Du Lazy Blogging

Mais je l’adore

15 Boulangeries in (under) 15 mins

I continue to be amused by how many places there are to buy beige food in this town so I set myself a challenge this afternoon. I walked round my block and photographed every Boulangerie I found – 15 of them in a 10 minute walk. Complètement fou.

Flying over the United States

I only had my iPhone on the plane as I jetted towards Mexico via Houston, Texas but it was enough to capture the stunning grids of the snowy States below me as I headed for sunnier climes.

F&J Manga

This was entirely accidental.. but I seem to have captured the whole gang in a series of (more) illegal gallery photography.

Illegal iPhone shots of Chichu Art Museum, Naoshima

I love these all the more because I wasn’t allowed to take them and the ladies in the white coats didn’t catch me and lock me in the dungeons of Chichu.

P.S. Thought Monet’s Waterlilies were overrated when I was 15, and I still do. Tadao Ando on the other hand, is a genius.

Tokyo Oranges & Browns

Tokyo Reds

Tokyo Silvers

Japan Beverage

I have become mildly obsessed with the drinks machines that are on every street corner in Tokyo – they’re all full of mysterious liquids and they talk you after you’ve bought one (how easy the mundane can become poetic when you have none of the written or spoken language). Probably inspired by the visual simplicity of this (my favourite internet discovery for ages) I decided to photograph them at night and make a bit of a montage. You lose the detail at this size but it still works.

And a zoom…
